Anti-discrimination Policy

Starlight Family Charity Organisation founded by Lukyamuzi James has always had love as its core value and believes that unconditional love is a powerful force that can change worldly things for the better. Starlight Family strives to extend that love to all sentient beings in order to help create a harmonious planet. Starlight Family Charity Organisation also believes that people have a right to express themselves freely where this does not infringe on the rights of another. As such Starlight Family, its directors and volunteers are committed to maintaining an environment that encourages and fosters appropriate conduct among all persons and respect for individual values. Additionally discrimination or harassment based on any individual difference or preference such as (but not limited to), race, gender and/or gender identity or expression, colour, creed, religion, age, ethnicity, disability, health, sex, sexual orientation is not tolerated. In Uganda whilst many of the aforementioned characteristics are legally protected, due to traditional cultures and religions people in the Ugandan community still experience discrimination. Therefore whenever Starlight Family interacts with the community such as during the school open days visitors we promote the ethic of non-discriminatory love and support for others.Starlight Family Charity Organisation founded by Lukyamuzi James has always had love as its core value and believes that unconditional love is a powerful force that can change worldly things for the better.
